In an age when the authority of traditional journalism is vanishing, the shouting of the “lying press” is getting louder and news can be converted into a swirl of information confetti, everyone has become both a broadcaster and the gatekeeper of their own rights. And now the irate citizen, who previously raged in lonely isolation, can find confirmation of his beliefs and apparently good reasons for his ire in a flash – without that evidence and corroboration having to go through any kind of official credibility or reality filter.
